Dale Coyne Racing have had a fantastic 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series season. Sebastien Bourdais returned to the team ahead of the start of the season bringing with him a number of key personnel from early in his career.
The Frenchman clicked with the team immediately with the partnership winning the season opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg.
Coyne brought in Verizon IndyCar Series rookie Ed Jones to partner Sebastien Bourdais for 2017. Jones has been extremely quick in his rookie season with his best result coming at the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil where he finished on the podium in third place behind race winner Takuma Sato and second placed Helio Castroneves.
Bourdais has been forced to sit out the majority of the season after receiving multiple pelvic fractures. The Frenchman was replaced by former Formula One driver Esteban Gutierrez.
Bourdais returned to the cock-pit of his Verizon IndyCar Series Honda and looks set to return to racing for the IndyCar Grand Prix at The Glen next month.
