Verizon IndyCar Series driver Juan Pablo Montoya says he is excited to be returning to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course this weekend with Team Penske.
The Colombian who was replaced in the No.2 Chevrolet by Josef Neegarden ahead of the start of the 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series season returns to the cockpit for the Month of May driving a fifth Team Penske Chevrolet.
Montoya, who will drive the No.22 Fitzgerald Glider Kits Chevrolet this weekend and in the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil took to Twitter on Tuesday to say:
Excited to start the #GreatestMonthInRacing at @IMS with the twists & turns of the Road Course at #INDYCARGP May 13!
Montoya joins team mate’s, reigning series champion Simon Pagenaud, Josef Newgarden, Will Power and Helio Castroneves for the Month of May.
Montoya will be hoping to take his third Indianapolis 500 win in four attempts.
