A familiar face returned to the Formula One paddock at the Mexican Grand Prix in Mexico City on Friday.
Verizon IndyCar Series driver and former Formula One driver Juan Pablo Montoya has joined the line-up of Canal F1 Latam for their live coverage of the Mexican Grand Prix this weekend.
Montoya, who has been competing in the Verizon IndyCar Series for Team Penske since 2014 is, for the time being is without a drive in the series for 2017 having being replaced by Josef Newgarden for next season.
The Colombian, who will take part in the Race of Champions in Miami in January confirmed in September that he would remain in the Verizon IndyCar Series in 2017 with or without Penske.
Montoya has several options, with seats still available at KVSH/Carlin Racing, Chip Ganassi Racing, AJ Foyt Racing, Dale Coyne Racing and Andretti Autosport.
Montoya competed in Formula One from 2001 – 2006 with Williams and McLaren and on Friday morning during Free Practice One spent time with the Williams team.
