Reigning series champion Scott Dixon in the No.9 Target Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet starts the race in second place just ahead of Team Penske’s Helio Castroneves in the No.3 AAA Insurance Chevrolet.
Takuma Sato did a great job in the No.14 ABC Supply Co. AJ Foyt Racing Honda as he will start the race from fourth place just ahead of Josef Newgarden who did a great job in the No.21 Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka Chevrolet as he will start the race from fifth place having set an average speed of 216.684mph.
Series points leader Simon Pagenaud will start the race from 6th place just ahead of team mate Will Power in the No.12 Verizon Chevrolet.
Tony Kanaan in the No.10 NTT DATA Chevrolet will start the race from eighth place just ahead of Andretti Herta Autosport’s Alexander Rossi. Schmidt Peterson Motorsport’s James Hinchcliffe rounds out the top ten in the No.5 Arrow Honda.
Ryan Hunter Reay in the No.28 DHL Honda will start the race from 11th place just ahead of team mate Marco Andretti in the No.27 Snapple Honda.
Graham Rahal will start the race from 13th place just ahead of Ed Carpenter and Charlie Kimball in the No.83 Tresiba® Chevrolet. Mikhail Aleshin will start the race from 16th place just ahead of Juan Pablo Montoya who endured a tough qualifying session.
Sebastien Bourdais will start the race from 18th place just ahead of Max Chilton. Jack Hawksworth and Conor Daly rounded out the grid.
