The Music City Grand Prix which has been added to the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series schedule will be on the calendar long term with the aim of the race becoming a staple of the calendar such as the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg or Toronto according to Music City Grand Prix COO Jason Rittenberry.

Speaking to Paddock Eye during an interview on Wednesday, Rittenberry said that right now the contract with the NTT IndyCar Series is for five years, set out as a three year contract with a one plus one extension to the agreement but with the investment that is being made by race organizers, Rittenberry says that he believes the race will be on the calendar in 30 to 40 years.

Rittenberry said that the organizers are concentrating on putting a great show and not just the race but also when it comes to music and the food that will be available to fans who attend the race which takes place August 6-8.

Rittenberry also stated that the race has attracted high profile personalities such as Justin Timberlake and others who will be announced in the coming days and weeks.
