NASCAR announced on Thursday that they are making changes to the Xfinity Series from the 2019 season onwards.
The starting field will be a maximum of 38 entrants with NASCAR reallocating the purse accordingly. Speaking about the news, NASCAR’s Vice President of Racing Operations John Bobo said:
Our goal is to ensure that each race features the strongest field and best racing for our fans. “The NASCAR Xfinity Series already features some of the tightest competition throughout the field. This adjustment will further strengthen an already outstanding series.
The series have also announced that the same tracks that were on the calendar for the Dash 4 Cash slate will make up the 2019 schedule with the qualifying race taking place at Texas Motor Speedway on March 30.
The series have announced that the Camping Work Truck Series will be known as the Ganders Outdoor Truck Series.
