NASCAR announced on Monday that they have issued several post race penalties including the suspension of one crew chief following Sunday’s Real Heroes 400 at Darlington Raceway.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series returned to real for the first time in ten weeks in the Real Heroes 400 at Darlington Raceway with the race been won by Stewart Haas Racing’s Kevin Harvick in the No.4 Busch Beer Ford.

The following penalties were handed out by NASCAR following the race:

  • Race winning crew chief Rodney Childers of Stewart Haas Racing was fined $10,000 for breaching Sections 10.9.10.4: Tires and Wheels Note: Lug nut(s) not properly installed.
  • Joe Gibbs Racing’s Erik Jones’ crew chief (Chris Gayle) has been fined $20,000; Suspended from the next NASCAR Cup Series points event for breaching Sections 10.9.10.4: Tires and Wheels Note: Lug nut(s) not properly installed.
  • Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin’s crew chief Chris Gabehart has been fined $10,000 for breaching Sections 10.9.10.4: Tires and Wheels Tires and Wheels Note: Lug nut(s) not properly installed.
  • Team Penske’s Joey Lagano’s crew chief Paul Wolfe has been fined $10,000 for breaching Sections 10.9.10.4: Tires and Wheels Note: Lug nut(s) not properly installed.
  • Chip Ganassi Racing’s Matt Kenseth’s crew chief Chad Johnston was fined $10,000 for breaching Sections 10.9.10,4: Tires and Wheels Note: Lug nut(s) not properly installed.
  • Levine Family Racing’s Christopher Bell’s crew chief Jason Ratcliff was fined $10,000 for breaching Sections 10.9.10.4: Tires and Wheels Note: Lug nut(s) not properly installed.
