Andretti Autosport Chief Operating Officer Rob Edwards says that this weekend’s Big Machine Music City Grand Prix on the streets of Nashville is a unique event for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and the INDY NXT presented by Firestone championships. Looking ahead to the race this weekend, Edwards says:
“The Big Machine Music City Grand Prix is not just a race. It has truly evolved into such a unique event on the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and INDY NXT by Firestone calendars. The way Nashville comes alive during the race weekend makes this event special. Street circuits have been good for Andretti Autosport this season and we hope to be strong again in Nashville.”
Colton Herta in the No.26 Gainbridge Honda is looking forward to the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix, saying:
“Nashville is a great city to have an INDYCAR race in. The track itself is very technical and demanding. In the past, it has been a long race with all of the yellows, but you’re almost guaranteed a good finish if you keep your nose clean. Nashville is a place I now call home, so I’m excited to see what we can do in the No. 26 Gainbridge Honda.”
Kyle Kirkwood in the No.27 AutoNation Honda is looking forward to the race this weekend, saying:
“Given the nature of the track, Nashville is definitely one of the most hectic races of the season. There are a lot of 90-degree corners as you would expect, but like all street courses for Andretti Autosport, we tend to perform well at this track. It’s also a really cool location because we’re pretty much right next to Broadway. It will be great to take on the Streets of Nashville again this weekend.”
Romain Grosjean in the No.28 DHL Honda is looking forward to getting on track on the streets of Nashville this weekend saying:
“Nashville is really good for racing. A lot can happen, so you need to be at the end to get a good result. It is really special to race through Nashville, and I am excited to return to a street circuit this weekend.”
Devlin DeFrancesco in the No.29 Honda is looking forward to the race this weekend saying:
“Nashville is one of the most chaotic races on the calendar. The track itself is complex and exciting, so it’s critical to keep your nose clean to do well. I’m definitely looking forward to getting out there and fighting forward in this race.”
