Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden has told Channel 4 F1 never say never to him competing in Formula One in future.
The Tennessee native is a guest of McLaren t the Circuit Of The Americas and has been picking Fernando Alonso’s brains about F1.
Speaking to Tom Clarkson, Newgarden said he was doing a bit of recon for next season as IndyCar adds the Circuit Of The Americas to their schedule for 2019.
Newgarden raced in Europe briefly before returning to the US to compete in IndyCar making his debut with Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing.
Newgarden went on to say that he hopes to compete with Fernando in IndyCar in the near future.
When it comes to F1, Newgarden said that for now he is focused on winning more IndyCar titles with Penske.
