Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing who will expand from a single to a two car full-time operation starting with the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series season have announced a new multi-year agreement with United Rentals.
The partnership which began in 2016 with primary sponsorship for the Detroit double header will receive even more attention this season as United Rentals will serve as primary sponsor to Graham Rahal’s No.15 Honda for 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil in May.
United Rentals will also be primary sponsor to Rahal for the following event in Detroit where Rahal is the defending champion having taken back to back victories there in 2017.
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing team co-owner Bobby Rahal commented on the news saying:
I’m thrilled to extend the partnership with United Rentals early, and the entire team is excited to build on the shared success of the last two years. “We have enjoyed a tremendously successful partnership together and take pride in the small part we play in their philanthropic program in support of SoldierStrong. The month of May is a special time for us every year with the world’s most famous race – the Indianapolis 500 – and we look forward to working with them to maximize their return on investment during May as well as the entire season.
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing head into the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series season off the back of a strong year and with the team expanding to a two car operation they will be hoping that they can carry this momentum forward for the year ahead.
Speaking about the extended partnership with RLL, United Rentals chief marketing officer Chris Hummel commented by saying:
Our partnership with RLL and IndyCar has been a terrific program for United Rentals to highlight our commitment to performance, innovation and safety. “More importantly, we’ve all worked together through Turns for Troops to give back in a meaningful way to those who have served and sacrificed.
