Andretti Autosport announced on Tuesday that they have added Indianapolis based home appliance, electronics and furniture retailer hhgregg to their sponsor portfolio for key races in the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series season.
The company will become the primary sponsor to Marco Andretti’s No.27 Honda for the month of May ahead of the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 as well as the Grand Prix of Alabama on April 24 which will the car rebranded as the No.27 hhgregg/Snapple Honda.
Carlos Munoz will carry the hhgregg primary sponsorship for Carlos Munoz for the Grand Prix of Indianapolis.
The No.28 DHL Honda entry of Ryan Hunter Reay and the Munoz’s No.26 entry will like Andretti’s No.27 Honda machine carry primary sponsorship branding of hhgregg for the 100th edition of the Indianapolis 500 on May 29. Commenting on the new partnership, Andretti Autosport CEO Michael Andretti stated:
