Josef Newgarden in the No.2 PPG Team Penske Chevrolet was fastest on Friday as the NTT INDYCAR SERIES returns to the Milwaukee Mile with a speed of 158.762MPH.

It was a promising start to the weekend for Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda who set a 158.080s.

It was a great session for Arrow McLaren’s Pato O’Ward in the No.5 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet who was third with a 157.750MPH.

Felix Rosenqvist in the No.60 AutoNation Meyer Shank Racing Honda was fourth fastest with a speed of 157.628MPH.

Scott McLaughlin was fifth just ahead of Chip Ganassi Racing’s Marcus Armstrong and Linus Lundqvist. David Malukas was eighth just ahead of championship leader Alex Palou while Colton Herta rounded out the top ten.

Will Power was 11th just ahead of Jack Harvey who had a great session for Dale Coyne Racing ending the day in 12th.

Santino Ferrucci in the No.14 Sexton Properties Chevrolet was 13th for AJ Foyt Racing just ahead of the Arrow McLaren duo of Alexander Rossi and Nolan Siegel.

Kyle Kirkwood was 16th just ahead of Rinus VeeKay.

Christian Rasmussen was 18th just ahead of Romain Grosjean and Sting Ray Robb who rounded out the top twenty.

Marcus Ericsson was 22st just ahead of the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing trio of Graham Rahal, Pietro Fittipaldi and Christian Lundgaard.

Conor Daly was 25th just ahead of Kyffin Simpson and Katherine Legge who rounded out the order.
