Six-time series champion Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Chip Ganassi Racing Honda was third fastest with a time of 01:10.8647s.

Pole winner Alex Palou was fourth just ahead of Kyffin Simpson and Marcus Armstrong.

Marcus Ericsson was seventh for Andretti Global just ahead of Rinus VeeKay and Scott McLaughlin. Pato O’Ward rounded out the top ten for Arrow McLaren.

It was a great session for Robert Shwartzman who ended the morning in 12th for PREMA.

Nolan Siegel was 13th just ahead of Felix Rosenqvist and David Malukas.

Devlin DeFrancesco was 16th just ahead of Christian Rasmussen and Juncos Hollinger Racing’s Conor Daly.

Graham Rahal was 19th just ahead of Sting Ray Robb and Callum Ilott.

Will Power was 22nd in the No.12 Verizon Team Penske Chevrolet while Alexander Rossi was 23rd.

Colton Herta had a clutch issue and was 24th just ahead of Kyle Kirkwood who suffered a mechanical issue.

Santino Ferrucci suffered an engine failure early in the session while Jacob Abel failed to set a time.
