Indianapolis 500 winner Josef Newgarden in the No.2 PPG Team Penske Chevrolet has been seen, checked and cleared to continue this weekend’s action at Road America by the INDYCAR Medical team.
The Tennessee native crashed heavily in the final moments of the Firestone Fast Six on Saturday afternoon.
Newgarden will start Sunday’s XPEL Grand Prix of Road America from sixth place having failed to set a time in qualifying and starts the race just behind his teammate Will Power.
