Will Power in the No.12 Verizon Chevrolet starts the race from second just ahead of reigning series champion Simon Pagenaud in the No.1 DXC Technology Chevrolet while Helio Castroneves starts the race from fourth place.
Andretti Autosport’s Takuma Sato in the No.26 Dickinson Honda starts from fifth while Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon will have a tough day on Sunday as he will start the race from sixth place in the No.9 NTT DATA Honda.
Andretti Autosport’s Ryan Hunter Reay starts the race from seventh place on the grid in the No.28 DHL Honda just ahead of Alexander Rossi and Graham Rahal while Sebastien Bourdais in the No.18 Unifin Honda rounds out the top ten for Dale Coyne Racing.
Marco Andretti and Tony Kanaan share row six, Max Chilton and Conor Daly are on row seven just ahead of Schmidt Peterson Motorsports James Hinchcliffe and Chip Ganassi Racing’s Charlie Kimball.
Row nine is Ed Carpenter Racing’s Spencer Pigot and Dale Coyne Racing’s Ed Jones. In row ten, Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Jack Harvey and JR Hildebrand for Ed Carpenter Racing.
