Two-time NTT IndyCar Series champion Josef Newgarden who competes in the No.2 PPG Team Penske Chevrolet has thanked the IndyCar Series Medical team for the care he received following his crash at Iowa Speedway on Sunday.
I’ll see you tomorrow on track.
Thank you to the @indycar medical team for taking such incredible care of me and to @team_penske for the unwavering support as always.
It would take a small army to keep me down, and I’ve got an even bigger army behind me helping me go forward. pic.twitter.com/3InwbOfrOv

Newgarden was cleared to participate in practice later today and will be re-evaluated following the session.
The Tennessee-native is in third place in the championship, tied on points with six-time Series champion Scott Dixon on 369 points apiece, just 34 points behind championship leader Marcus Ericsson with five races remaining.
Santino Ferrucci remains on standby in case Newgarden doesn’t race on Saturday.
