Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden says that he is happy to be here and is excited to go racing this season and is trying to understand what is best for him as he enters his 13th season in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES season.

Speaking during media content day, Newgarden said that the team needs to try and maximize the start of the season and see how they get on throughout the season.

The Tennessee native says that team owner Roger Penske is so motivated to win his 20th Indianapolis 500 and it is a never-ending process to try and win and he wants to see how he can win his second Indianapolis 500. He said that the 2024 season is an unknown with the new hybrid system.

Newgarden says that there is a standard that Team Penske lives by and that they keep trying to win races and championships. When it comes to what he needs to improve this season, he said that qualifying is the number 1 thing that he needs to improve but also how he prepares for races away from the track.

It is not just one thing, as a team we are just working to get everything going in the right direction.
