Hollywood and racing legend Paul Newman was inducted into the Motorsports Hall Of Fame of America at a ceremony in Daytona on Tuesday evening.
Paul Newman was an avid racing enthusiast and from 1983 until his untimely passing in 2008 he was involved in CART and what is now the NTT INDYCAR SERIES through his team, Newman Haas Racing, the race team he owned with Carl Haas.
The team were hugely successfully winning 107 races, claiming 109 pole positions and winning 8 championships.
Newman Haas Racing were responsible for launching the careers of NTT INDYCAR SERIES drivers Graham Rahal and James Hinchcliffe.
Newman was inducted into the Hall Of Fame by 1969 Indianapolis 500 winner and motor racing legend Mario Andretti.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday evening, Andretti said:

Mario competed in INDYCAR with Newman Haas Racing where they won the championship together in 1984.
