The Indianapolis Motor Speedway released the official entry list for the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge which takes place on Sunday, May 30. The list of 35 drivers includes three rookies, nine previous winners and one female driver, Simona De Silvestro who makes her Indianapolis 500 return for the first time since 2015, the Swiss driver is attempting to make his sixth start at the 500.
The breakdown of entries is as follows:
Winners (9): Helio Castroneves, Scott Dixon, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Tony Kanaan, Juan Pablo Montoya, Simon Pagenaud, Will Power, Alexander Rossi, Takuma Sato

Series veteran’s Juan Pablo Montoya, driving the No.86 Mission Foods Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet and Meyer Shank Racing’s Helio Castroneves will be attempting to win their third (Montoya) and fourth (Castroneves) 500 races.
Team Penske is the most successful outfit at the Indianapolis 500 with The Captain, Roger Penske having 18 Indianapolis 500 wins to his name.
