Haas F1 Team founder and Chairman Gene Haas has confirmed that the American team who make their Grand Prix debut this season will not have a big launch and will instead reveal their first ever Formula One car on the opening day of winter testing at the Barcelona Circuit Du Catalunya on Monday February 22.

The Banbury and Kannapolis based outfit have formed a technical partnership with Ferrari which see the Italian manufacturer provide the new team with power units and gearboxes along with some other components.

Haas also had use of the Ferrari wind tunnel but Mr Haas and team principal Guenther Steiner are insistent that the outfit are not a Ferrari B team.

The Haas F1 Team managed to secure the services of two very highly rated drivers in Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez who join the outfit from the Lotus F1 Team and Scuderia Ferrari respectively.
