Sahara Force India Deputy Team Principal Robert Fernley has confirmed that it is business as usual for the Silverstone based outfit in their preparations for the 2017. The Englishman has said that right now they have Nico Hulkenberg confirmed alongside Sergio Perez.
Fernley confirmed that they have had no contact from the Renault Sport F1 Team about Nico Hulkenberg amid reports over the Japanese Grand Prix weekend that the German is set to sign a two year contract with the Enstone outfit with the option of a third year.
Fernley said that it is not just Hulkenberg from Force India who has been connected with Renault as he confirmed that numerous members of the team had been approached by Renault and that the Silverstone based outfit are flattered that the French manufacturer are interested in their team members.
It had been reported over the weekend that a deal between Renault and Hulkenberg is in the works and would be concluded by the next race, the United States Grand Prix next weekend.
Fernley has confirmed however that Hulkenberg has not spoken to the management about a move in 2017.
Force India are currently in fourth place in the Constructors championship with just four races remaining this season.
