Team Penske’s Juan Pablo Montoya has told Paddock Eye that drivers don’t get any input when changes are made to circuit lay-outs.

The Colombian told us that during the drivers meeting they were talking about Turn eight and they were going to cover the curbing but that the drivers were not asked their opinions on that change.

Montoya said that when it comes to future changes to circuit lay-outs that drivers should be consulted.

He said that if the drivers don’t give their opinion on changes and they arrive here (in Toronto) or anywhere else and it’s bad than its the drivers fault.

Montoya ended this morning’s opening practice session in 13th place just ahead of Chip Ganassi Racing’s Charlie Kimball.
