Sky Sports News HQ’s Craig Slater has confirmed that reports that former McLaren Chairman Ron Dennis was in talks to buy the Manor F1 Team are incorrect.

It was believed that Dennis who was relieved of his position at McLaren at the end of last year was in talks along with investors from China to purchase the Manor Formula One team however speaking from Manor’s Banbury factory in the UK, Sky Sports Craig Slater stated:

I can confirm that no serious discussions took place with Ron Dennis to buy this team.

The Manor F1 Team went into administration on Friday morning with their 200 strong workforce made aware of the situation on Friday.

FRP Advisory have been appointed administrators by team owner Stephen Fitzpatrick.
