NTT DATA are reported in advanced talks to become the new title sponsor to the IndyCar Series replacing long term partner Verizon.

If the reports are true it would be huge for the series who are looking to expand on the international stage. NTT DATA who are based in Japan would be able to use their global position to help grow the series.

IndyCar are in advanced talks with the Queensland government about bringing the series back to Surfers Paradise in 2020.

NTT DATA have a long history in IndyCar with Chip Ganassi Racing so they are very aware of IndyCar and how the series works and operates.

IndyCar had a race in Japan when the series raced in Motegi due to their partnership with Honda.

Paddock Eye understand that an announcement with come in the next few weeks with deal in place for the first the first race of the season, the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg which takes place from March 8-10.
