Defending World Rally champion Sebastien Ogier says that he is most looking forward to the opening event of the 2018 season, the Rally Monte Carlo in two weeks as it is his home.
Speaking to Paddock Eye during the Autosport International Show on Thursday, the M-Sport driver said that the car feels good and they are looking forward to having a strong start to the season and picking up where they left off in 2017.
The team will head to Monte Carlo next week for a pre-event test to gather data and Ogier told us that this is very important as it allows the team to gather pace notes as these are essential for a strong event.
When asked about the different climate in Monte Carlo and the chance for variable weather conditions, Ogier said that it was important the teams and crews pick the right tyres each day as this is the difference between a good result and a bad result at the event.
Eflyn Evans moves to the EccoBoost Ford Fiesta this season replacing Ott Tanak and he told Paddock Eye that he is looking forward to the start of the new season but said that in terms of the crews there is little or no difference to last season.
