Toyota Gazoo Racing WRC Team’s defending world champion Sebastien Ogier claimed his 50th career win on Sunday as Rallye Monte Carlo, the opening event of the 2021 FIA World Rally Championship came to a close.

The Frenchman and his co-driver Julien Engrassi led home their team mate’s Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin by 32.6s while Hyundai Motorsports Thierry Neuville made the most of a late mistake by Kalle Rovanpera to finish third ensuring that it was not a Toyota clean sweep.

Dani Sordo came home in fifth place in the second Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC just ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen and M-Sport Ford WRC Team’s Gus Greensmith and Adrien Fourmaux.
