Reigning World Rally Champion Sebastien Ogier has taken the overall lead of the Rallye Monte Carlo, the opening round of the 2017 World Rally Championship season on day 3 of the event.
The Frenchman in the Ford Fiesta Eccoboost WRC leads a M-Sports 1,2 with Ott Tanak in second as the we head into the final day of the rally as the drivers head to a Monaco finish.
Toyota’s Jari Matti Latvala is up to third place overall while Citroen Racing’s Craig Breen is up to fourth place. Hyundai Motorsports Dani Sordo in the I20 is fifth just ahead of stage 13 winner Elfyn Evans. Andreas Mikkelsen is seventh just ahead of Jan Kopecky. Bryan Bouffier is ninth overall.
Pontus Tidemand rounds out the top ten. Thierry Neuville driving a Hyunadi I20 who had been leading the rally all weekend suffered a puncture and is down in 15th place going into the last day on Sunday.
