Max Chilton has told Paddock Eye that his experience on ovals from 2016 will help him in 2017 following the news on Wednesday that he will return to Chip Ganassi Racing alongside Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan and Charlie Kimball for 2017.

When asked about the switch from Chevrolet to Honda power, Chilton said that he believes that the divisibility of the Honda engine will be better compared to the Chevrolet unit especially at circuits such as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Chilton has yet to drive the No.8 Gallagher Honda but will do so with his team mate’s at a Verizon IndyCar Series test at Sebring on Friday.
