Arrow McLaren SP’s Pato O’Ward who ended the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series championship in third place had his Formula One seat fitting during his trip to the McLaren Technology Centre last week.
The Mexican who scored two victories in IndyCar last season will test the McLaren MCL35 at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix circuit in December following the conclusion of the 2021 Formula One season.
O’Ward spent three days at the MTC where he also completed laps in the team’s simulator.

O’Ward was joined at the MTC by Daniel Ricciardo who has been given the opportunity of a lifetime by McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown.
As a reward for winning the Italian Grand Prix at the Monza circuit earlier this season the Australian will get the opportunity to drive his hero and NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Sr’s 1984 NASCAR at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin Texas ahead of this weekend’s U.S Grand Prix.
You saw that right.
