Colton Herta in the No.26 Gainbridge Honda was third fastest with a time of 01:06.1839s just ahead of Graham Rahal in the No.15 Fifth Third Bank Honda for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing with a time of 01:06.3348s while Ryan Hunter Reay in the No.28 DHL Honda was fifth with a time of 01:06.3657s ending the session just ahead of Will Power in the No.12 Verizon 5G Chevrolet who set a 01:06.3943s.

Scott McLaughlin was seventh with a time of 01:06.4364s ending the session just ahead of Meyer Shank Racing’s Jack Harvey who set a time of 01:06.4955s.

Defending NTT IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon was ninth for Chip Ganassi Racing with a time of 01:06.5955s ending the session just ahead of Arrow McLaren SP’s Felix Rosneqvist who rounded out the top ten with a time of 01:06.6815s.

Romain Grosjean was persistent as he ended the session in eleventh place in the No.51 Nurtec ODT Honda for Dale Coyne Racing with Rick Ware Racing with a time of 01:06.7033s ending the session just ahead of Alex Palou and Rinus VeeKay. Alexander Rossi was 14th just ahead of Marcus Ericsson and Sebastien Bourdais.

James Hinchcliffe was 17th with a time of 01:06.9590s ending the session just ahead of Simon Pagenaud and Ed Jones while Takuma Sato was 22nd just ahead of Conor Daly and Dalton Kellett. Ryan Norman and Jimmie Johnson rounded out the order.
