Carlin Racing’s Patricio O’Ward in the No.31 Chevrolet is looking forward to getting back on track at Barber Motorsports Park this weekend following his top ten finish in the IndyCar Classic at the Circuit Of The Americas in Austin Texas two weeks ago.
Speaking ahead of the race he said:
“I absolutely love going to Barber Motorsports Park – love the event, love the track, love the people. I think it’s just a phenomenal place for the NTT IndyCar Series to come back to every year because the fans are so enthusiastic and the energy is always awesome. I’m especially pumped to get back to Barber because I’ve had a lot of success there and I’m excited to see if I can do the same thing in the No. 31 Carlin Chevrolet. Last year in Indy Lights I won both in the dry and in the rain, so it’s definitely a track I enjoy driving. I’m looking forward to building on what we did as a team at COTA last weekend and hopefully come away with an even better result this weekend at Barber.”
Max Chilton in the No.59 Gallagher Chevrolet is looking forward to the race this weekend saying:
“I love coming to Barber Motorsports Park every year – it’s just such a beautiful track. The track itself really suits my driving style and we’re always able to put on such a good show for the fans. There really isn’t a bad seat in the house and the fans seem to genuinely enjoy the on-track action, which makes it even more fun to race here. We were on track last weekend at COTA for a top-10 finish for the No. 59 Gallagher Carlin Chevrolet, but fuel issues ruined our chances of a good result so we’re really hoping we can turn it around this weekend at Barber.”
