Harding Racing’s Patricio O’Ward in his first ever Verizon IndyCar Series qualifying session on Saturday for Sunday’s 2018 season finale Grand Prix of Sonoma.

The Mexican driving the No.8 Chevrolet has been extremely quick all weekend and not only made it into the Firestone Fast 12 but went one step further and made it into the Firestone Fast Six pole position shootout.

O’Ward will start Sunday’s 85 lap race from fifth place ahead of championship contender Alexander Rossi in the No.27 NAPA Auto Parts Honda.

O’Ward’s performance just goes to show that the incredibly hard work that Harding Racing has done this season has paid off.
