Chip Ganassi Racing’s Felix Rosenqvist who drives the No.10 NTT DATA Honda said that fourth place is a great way to start his NTT IndyCar Series career following an extremely strong Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg.
The Swede however believes the team still have plenty of work to do. Rosenqvist was the star of qualifying as he started Sunday’s 110 lap race in third place ahead of his team mate and defending champion Scott Dixon and was best of the rest behind Team Penske’s Will Power and Josef Newgarden.
Rosenqvist led 32 laps during the race having taken the lead on lap 12 after a fantastic overtake on leader Will Power.
Speaking following the race, Rosenqvist said:
It’s a lot to take in. “I’m worn out. These cars are tough to drive. I’ve never driven anything like it, but it’s a dream come true just to be here.”
“We have a lot to work on,” he added. “I think I underestimated how much the track grips up. Still a lot of things to learn, but P4 is a great way to start.
