Reigning Verizon IndyCar Series champion Simon Pagenaud in the No.1 DXC Technology Chevrolet led a Team Penske sweep 1,2,3,4 in the final practice session ahead of qualifying for Sunday’s Honda Indy Toronto.

The Frenchman set a fastest time of 00.59.7864s ending the morning just ahead of Helio Castroneves in the No.3 Hitachi Chevrolet.

Josef Newgarden in the No.2 DevilBiss Chevrolet was third fastest with a 00:59.8828s while last year’s winner Will Power in the No.12 Verizon Chevrolet rounded out the top four with a 00:59.9529s.

Andretti Autosport’s Ryan Hunter Reay in the No.28 DHL was the fastest Honda ending the session in fifth place just ahead of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Graham Rahal in the No.15 Rousseau Metals Honda while 2015 Indianapolis 500 winner Alexander Rossi was seventh fastest in the No.98 Andretti Autosport Curb Honda.

Indianapolis 500 winner Takuma Sato in the No.26 Honda was eighth fastest for Andretti Autosport just ahead of hometown favourite, the Mayor of HinchTown, James Hinchcliffe in the No.5 Arrow Honda who ended the morning in ninth place for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports.

It was a great session for AJ Foyt Racing’s Carlos Munoz in the No.14 ABC Supply Co Chevrolet as the Colombian rounded out the top ten.

Tony Kanaan in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda was the fastest Chip Ganassi Racing entry ending the morning in 11th place just ahead of Ed Carpenter Racing’s Spencer Pigot in the No.20 Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka Chevrolet.

It was a great session for Dale Coyne Racing’s Esteban Gutierrez in the No.18 Unifin Honda as the Mexican ended the session in 13th place just ahead of Andretti Autosport’s Marco Andretti in the No.27 UFD Honda. Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Sebastian Saavedra in the No.7 Lucas Oil Honda was 15th fastest.

Ed Jones in the No.19 Boy Scouts of America Honda ended the session in 16th place for Dale Coyne Racing ending the morning just ahead of series points leader Scott Dixon in the No.9 NTT DATA Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing.

Charlie Kimball in the No.83 NovoNordisk Honda ended the session in 18th place just ahead of team mate Max Chilton in the No.8 Gallagher Honda.

Ed Carpenter Racing’s JR Hildebrand in the No.21 Preferred Freezer Services Chevrolet ended the session in 20th place while Conor Daly in the No.4 ABC Supply Chevrolet rounded out the order in 21st place.
