The Renault F1 Team’s Jolyon Palmer has confirmed that he will race in Formula One with the number 30 which he used throughout his time as the Lotus F1 Team’s test and reserve driver last season.

The 2014 GP2 champion will make his Formula One debut with the Renault F1 Team this season and is increasingly likely to have former McLaren driver Kevin Magnussen as his team mate as Pastor Maldonado is set to lose his seat.

Palmer confirmed the news on his twitter feed by saying:

I can officially confirm that I will be using number 30 this year #JP30 #F1
