Chip Ganassi Racing’s Alex Palou in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda and Marcus Ericsson in the No.8 Huski Chocolate Honda say they are both super confident of a strong result in Sunday’s 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge.
Speaking to Paddock Eye on Media Day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Palou who goes into the race in second place in the championship behind Scott Dixon says he is confident that one of the Ganassi cars will be in Victory Lane on Sunday after a really strong start to the season for the Spaniard.
Palou starts the race from sixth while Ericsson starts the race from ninth. Speaking to Paddock Eye from the Speedway, Ericsson said that he is super confident that the team is in a position to win the race as the car feels extremely strong in traffic during practice for the race.
Ericsson also said that he learnt a lot from his race here last year despite retiring from the event early on but they are both very excited about the race and having fans back at the track is also great for the team.
