Chip Ganassi Racing’s Alex Palou in the No.10 American Legion Honda was fastest in the second practice at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway ahead of qualifying for Saturday’s GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis on the IMS road course.

The Spaniard set a time of 01:09.9383s and was just ahead of Christian Lundgaard.

Pato O’Ward in the No.5 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet who was fastest in the morning session was third fastest with a time of 01:10.2604s.

Marcus Armstrong in the No.11 Ridgeline Lubricants Chip Ganassi Racing Honda had a great session in fourth place with a time of 01:10.3022s.

Jack Harvey in the No.30 Kustom Entertainment Honda was fifth with a time of 01:10.3038s.

Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden in the No.2 Snap-On Chevrolet and Scott McLaughlin were sixth and seventh respectively.

Defending NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion Will Power in the No.12 Verizon 5G Team Penske Chevrolet was eighth.

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda set a time of 01:10.4018s while Marcus Ericsson rounded out the top ten.

Alexander Rossi was P11 for Arrow McLaren just ahead of his teammate Felix Rosenqvist.

Kyle Kirkwood was 13th for Andretti Autosport just ahead of Graham Herta and Colton Herta. Simon Pagenaud was P16 just ahead of Callum Ilott.

Rinus VeeKay and Romain Grosjean were 18th and 19th respectively.

Conor Daly rounded out the top twenty just ahead of David Malukas. Devlin DeFrancesco was 22nd just ahead of Sting Ray Robb.

Agustin Canapino was 24th just ahead of Santino Ferrucci and Benjamin Pedersen.

Helio Castroneves rounded out the order in 27th after suffering an engine failure despite the fact that it was a brand new engine.
