McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown has revealed that current NTT INDYCAR SERIES championship leader Alex Palou will join the McLaren Formula One team for the remainder of the 2023 Formula One season following the conclusion of the 2023 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season, which concludes with the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey on September 10.
Palou will travel to each of the final eight races of the 2023 Formula One season, starting with the Singapore Grand Prix, which takes place just one week following the conclusion of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES season.
Palou heads into the Honda Indy Toronto next weekend, leading the championship by 110 points over his Chip Ganassi Racing teammate and six-time series champion Scott Dixon.
