Paretta Autosport’s arrival in the NTT IndyCar Series is a great opportunity for Simona De Silvestro to showcase her talent and what she can do behind the wheel of an IndyCar.
It was announced last week that Beth Paretta with the technical support of Team Penske will compete in the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on May 30 with Simona De Silvestro with an emphasis on promoting female talent in the sport.
The team will be powered by Chevrolet and speaking during last weeks press conference announcing her team’s entry to the Indianapolis 500, Paretta confirmed that the team hope to run a full-time team in 2022.,
The NTT IndyCar Series has been and continues to be a pioneer for women in motorsport with the likes of Lisa Boggs and Cara Adams working at Firestone Racing, the teams also have have a number of engineers and strategists working up and down the pit-lane.
Simona De Silvestro will drive the team in May and as for 2022? That is to be determined as to whether or not the team run one or two cars in the NTT IndyCar Series.
Speaking during last weeks announcement, Paretta did not rule out the possibility of the team competing in more than just the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Ganbridge which takes place on May 30.
