Simona De Silvestro will make her sixth Indianapolis 500 start on Sunday after making the field for the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge.

It is no surprise that the Swiss driver made the show given her experience in IndyCar and other motorsports such as Formula E and Supercars. Speaking to Paddock Eye on Thursday, De Silvestro said that the car had good pace prior to qualifying but when it came to Sunday it went away from them.

The Swiss driver is confident that on Sunday in the race things will be different as the car is one of the best she has driven around the Speedway.

De Silvestro praised her team owner and boss Beth Paretta for putting the team together in the way she did by forming a technical partnership with Team Penske which has been hugely beneficial for the team in helping them get up to speed.

De Silvestro told us that she has confidence that Paretta Autosport have prepared a car that can challenge for a top ten finish on Sunday as the car has run well in traffic.
