Paretta Autosport, the female-led NTT IndyCar Series team who will make their debut in the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on May 30 is not just a fifth Penske entry for the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.
The team led by Automotive executive Beth Paretta has entered into a technical partnership with Team Penske and is independent of Team Penske.
Penske will, this season return to being a four-car full-time IndyCar Series team with Scott McLaughlin making his full-time transition to the NTT IndyCar Series from the Australian Supercars championship having made his NTT IndyCar Series debut in the season-ending Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg which took place on October 25.
Paretta Autosport has hired IndyCar Series veteran Simona De Silvestro to drive for them in the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 while the team is hoping to expand to a two-car operation in the future.
De Silvestro and Paretta Autosport will take to the track for the first time at the end of next month when the NTT IndyCar Series host a full-field test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
