The Indianapolis Motor Speedway have confirmed that former Verizon IndyCar Series driver Danica Patrick will return to the cock-pit of a Verizon IndyCar Series car for the first time since 2011 when she tests for Ed Carpenter Racing at the speedway on Tuesday.

Patrick who will drive the No.13 GoDaddy Chevrolet for Ed Carpenter Racing in the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil in exactly four weeks time will get her first taste of the 2018 Chevrolet aero kit as she prepares for the last race of her motorsport career.

Speaking ahead of the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park last weekend team owner Ed Carpenter said that things are going well when it comes to Danica’s preparation for the month of May.
