US Vice President Mike Pence hosted Mark Miles, CEO of Hulman and Company, the parent company of the Verizon IndyCar Series and Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Verizon IndyCar Series driver, Andretti Autosport’s Ryan Hunter Reay as the pair traveled to Washington as part of the 2018 Indy 50 Media Tour.

Pence, the former governor of Indiana is an avid fan of motorsport and has been a frequent visitor to the Indianapolis 500 with his wife Karen most recently at last years 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.

Hunter Reay and Miles joined Vice President Pence on Capitol Hill however politics was not on the agenda as the trio discussed the upcoming 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil which takes place this weekend.

Ryan Hunter Reay in the No.28 DHL Honda will start the race from 14th place on the grid following a four lap qualifying average speed of 226.788MPH.
