Team Penske owner Roger Penske says he is happy with how his outfit’s 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series season has panned out regardless of whether or not one of his drivers walks away with the title this year.

Defending series champion Josef Newgarden in the No.1 Verizon Chevrolet is lookingcfor his second championship in a row while Will Power is aiming to win his second title.

Speaking to the IndyCar radio network on Saturday, Penske said that he was delighted that his team took their 17th Indianapolis 500 win.

Penske saidcthat his racing organisation is built around and promoted through their success in the Indianapolis 500. Penske have won three times at the Speedway this year with Will Power in the No.12 Verizon Chevrolet sweeping the month of May winning both the Grand Prix Of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis 500.

The NASCAR operation also took victory in the Brickyard 400 on Monday.

Penske will be hopping that one of his three Verizon IndyCar Series drivers, Josef Newgarden, Will Power and Simon Pagenaud can take his company’s 500th victory as a racing organisation.
