Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi says that Roger Penske is the perfect man to have at the helm of the NTT IndyCar Series and Indianapolis Motor Speedway alongside Jay Frye, Mark Miles and IMS President J Douglas Boles with the current COVID 19 global pandemic.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series announced earlier this week that they will go back to Racing at Darlington Raceway on May 17 behind closed doors without fans and Rossi said that this is a great opportunity for Mr Penske given that The Captain owns a Cup Series team.

Penske will be in a position to monitor the situation with NASCAR and see what worked and what didn’t during NASCAR’s first race back which Rossi says Roger Penske and the team at IndyCar can implement with the opening race of the 2020 NTT IndyCar series season which Paddock Eye understands will be the Genesys 600 at Texas Motor Speedway on June 6 which is set to be a one day event with staffing restrictions set to be enforced for the teams.
