NTT IndyCar Series team owner Roger Penske and his family visited the White House on Thursday as President Donald Trump presented the 18 time Indianapolis 500 winner with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor awarded.

Politics were put to one side as the Captain toppped a fantastic year for his organisation as not only did they win the Indianapolis 500 with Simon Pagenaud but Josef Newgarden was crowned the 2019 NTT IndyCar Series champion for the second time in three seasons.
