Red Bull Racing’s Sergio Perez was the pacesetter in the second practice session ahead of Sunday’s United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas as Formula One returns to the U.S for the first time since 2019. The Mexican set a time of 01:34.946s.

McLaren Racing’s Lando Norris was second just ahead of Mercedes duo Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas. Daniel Ricciardo was fifth just ahead of Lance Stroll and Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen who was not able to get a clean lap in.

Carlos Sainz was ninth while Antonio Giovinazzi rounded out the top ten for Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN. Esteban Ocon was 11th fastest for the Alpine F1 Team just ahead of Pierre Gasly and Fernando Alonso who stopped on track in practice one while in second practice he spun and crashed into the wall which ended his session.

Kimi Raikkonen was 14th just ahead of Sebastian Vettel who will start the race from the back of the grid due to an engine change while Yuki Tsunoda was 16th just ahead of Mick Schumacher and Nicholas Laifi. George Russell was 19th just ahead of Nikita Mazepin.
