Force India driver Sergio ‘Checo’ Perez has expressed an interest in competing in the some Verizon IndyCar Series races.

The Mexican’s comments come following the news this week that his Formula One rival Fernando Alonso will skip the Monaco Grand Prix to compete in the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil next month.

Perez however has said that he would not miss the Monaco Grand Prix due firstly to the fact that the two events usually clash and secondly, the race in the Principality is his favorite race on the Formula One calendar and he would not miss it for the world. Perez has however confirmed that someday he would like to compete at the Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
