The 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil which takes place later this month is set to have an awful lot of British interest. The British owned Carlin Racing team will make their first Indianapolis 500 start with Trevor Carlin fielding his two full-time Verizon IndyCar Series drivers Charlie Kimball and Englishman Max Chilton.
Schmidt Peterson Motorsports will run two English drivers with Jay Howard driving the No.77 Honda while Jack Harvey continues his part time Verizon IndyCar Series schedule with Meyer/Shank Racing with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports.
Dale Coyne Racing will field Pippa Mann while the team may also have Katherine Legge in the No.19 Honda backed by the British based Paysafe organisation.
Stefan Wilson, the brother of the late Justin Wilson will drive the No.29 Driven2SaveLives Honda for Andretti Autosport. Ed Jones who grew up in Dubai with British parents is competing in his second Indianapolis 500 having joined Chip Ganassi Racing from Dale Coyne Racing. In 2016, on his debut at the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil where he finished on the podium in third place.
