Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon in the No.9 NTT DATA Honda who is aiming to win his fifth Verizon IndyCar Series championship at the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma says he has plenty of pre-race rituals.

Answering a question from Paddock Eye during a Facebook Live chat at Ram’s Gate Winery during media day at Sonoma on Wednesday, the Iceman who goes into the championship decider just three points behind leader Josef Newgarden said he likes to eat before a race.

The New Zealander also said that he likes to take a nap prior to a race and he always gets into his car from the left hand side.

The Iceman has claimed seven podium finishes in 2017 and scored the Verizon P1 Award for the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil. Dixon also took victory in the Kohler Grand Prix at Road America.
